Maddie's Birthday

We just got back from Tualatin Hills Park & Rec to celebrate Maddie Menke's 2nd birthday. It was chilly, but not too chilly, and there was a covered playground which was awesome. Jaden loved going down the slide as we counted, "1...2...3...whee!!" and I let go of him to slide down for Kyle to catch him. He also had a blast with the big, fat aluminum looking balloons that were tied in a bunch. He would look up at them with joy and hit them back and forth with his hands giggling hysterically. Have I mentioned, he has the best laugh? It's one of those belly laughs mixed with innocence long forgotten to most of us. Amazing, really. We stayed for a little over an hour and then it was time to go home to put him down for his nap. He was way tired, but it was well worth it to see Mads and the Menkes on their little girl's big day.
